  • Day 1 - Chandigarh/Kalka to Shimla :

    Upon arrival our representative will greet you and get you transferred to your Shimla hotel. Shimla (also Simla) derives its name from Goddess Shyamala, an alternative name for the Hindu Goddess Kali, who is believed to have a temple on Jakhu Hill. Another version suggests the name comes from "Shyamalaya," meaning "blue house," referring to a structure built by a faqir on Jakhu Hill. The town's name gained prominence after the British established a settlement there in the 19th century. On arrival complete your checkin formalities and relax. Later visit The Ridge, The Mall, Tibetan Market, Lakkar Bazar, Scandal Point, Kali Bari Temple. Overnight stay in Shimla.
